Meet Dr. Farnam Ahmadi Moshtaghin

By the time I was ten I knew I want to be a dentist.

I realized that dream and now, having practicing for almost 15 years, I have no doubt I am part of an amazing profession. Dentistry brings together medicine, technology, and artistry, allowing practitioners to better lives, improving health, quality of life, and self-esteem!

Education and Approach to Dentistry

My Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) was obtained at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine.

In practice, I am dedicated to patient satisfaction, guiding each to their healthiest and most beautiful smile through the best dentistry. Whether providing a checkup, relieving pain and infection, restoring function and aesthetics, or educating my patient on how to maintain oral health, my focus is on the individual.

Each patient I see has unique needs and wants. In listening to patients, I gain the insight needed to address the whole of their situation: clinical, emotional, and financial. I can then develop an individual treatment plan, looking to what is going to be the most efficient, comfortable, and effective approach. Then I discuss the treatment options with my patient, explaining what I recommend and why, and answering their questions. This allows my patient to make informed decisions about the health of their smile.

Professional Memberships and Continuing Education

I am an active member of the American and California dental associations. These organizations offer numerous opportunities for ongoing learning, through meetings, seminars, lectures, and professional journals. By taking advantage of these opportunities, I ensure patients are being treated using the most up-to-date practices, technologies, and materials.

Through continuing education, I constantly enhance my knowledge and broaden the services I provide. Along with general dentistry, I have received completed specialized training in dental implants, including bone grafting and augmentation. I have also completed hours of advanced education in endodontic therapy (root canal treatments).

Beyond the Office

I grew up in Persia/Iran and moved to the United States as an adult; I’ve now lived in Whittier for several years and love this community. During my time away from work I take advantage of all the area offers, from hiking and biking to relaxing at the beach. I also enjoy keeping healthy at the gym and watching movies.
